Digital Collections

Many of our records have been digitized to make them easier to access. Or, they are “born digital;” that is, they were created as a digital document (report, photo, map, slideshow, etc.) and have never been printed as physical items. To access these records please have a look in these places:

Rocky Mountain Online Archive  (link opens in new tab/window)

To see digitized archival or manuscript collections (or portions of collections) search the RMOA and look for linked documents to view.

Here’s one example: The Governor William Hale Papers

Includes other oversized materials such as newspaper issues.

Many of these interviews have been digitized so you can listen to them now.

State Agency Websites

Using the Internet Archive, we are capturing state agency websites at regular intervals.

Wyoming Blue Book Wiki (link opens in new tab/window)

An online version of the five volume administrative history of the State of Wyoming. A great source for biographies, histories of state agencies and institutions, and copies of our founding documents.

Wyoming Digital Archives

The Digital Archives is a secure online repository where state agencies can store, manage, and access electronic records with long-term or permanent value. Developed by the State Archives, the Digital Archives preserves and manages state agency electronic records in much the same way the State Records Center does for paper records. Eventually, state agencies will use this portal to share publicly accessible electronic records for easy access.
