State Historical Records Advisory Board offers records management grants

Grants up to $2,000 are currently available to the state’s citizens and organizations from the Wyoming State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) with funds received from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. The deadline to apply for the grants is June 16, with the grant period lasting from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015.

All projects related to the mission and goals of the SHRAB will be considered. The Wyoming SHRAB promotes the identification, preservation and dissemination of the state’s historical records, by encouraging and supporting ongoing training programs for state, tribal and local governments, local repositories, organizations, and others involved in records care in Wyoming.

The grant funds may be used to offset the cost of attending training or work on a special project regarding the management and/or preservation of historical records. Each grant may be used for projects including but not limited to: materials, registration fees, travel costs, lodging and per diem. Funding may also be spent to bring recognized experts for consultation.
