Grants up to $2,000 each are currently available to the state’s citizens and organizations from the Wyoming State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB). The deadline to apply for the grants is June 1.
The grants are available to Wyoming cultural heritage institutions and can be used by paid staff and volunteers to attend training, conferences, educational workshops, or courses on topics related to the management and/or preservation of historical records and special projects. The grants are available for the grant period of July1, 2013 thru June 30, 2014, and are provided through WY SHRAB by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.
Each grant may cover projects including but not limited to: materials, registration fees, travel costs, lodging and per diem. Funding may also be used to bring recognized experts into an institution for consultation related to the management, accessibility or preservation of the historical records in its legal custody.

The Wyoming SHRAB promotes the identification, preservation and dissemination of the state’s historical records, by encouraging and supporting ongoing training programs for state, tribal and local governments, local repositories, organizations, and other involved records care in Wyoming. The program is administered by the Wyoming State Archives of the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources.
